18 degrees, sunshine and a beautiful morning in North Fremantle. My girlfriends and I hit over to Bib & Tucker, for a well-deserved, peaceful (kids free) brunch. We arrive at 8:45am and we only have to wait for 10 minutes to get a nice sheltered table on the outside deck. If you arrive after 9:30am expect a wait of around 20/30 minutes to get a table. They do take reservations up until 9am.
We all order the Mexican Huevos Rancheros, smashed beans, roast tomato & chipotle salsa, eggs, tortillas, avocado, coriander, feta & crispy chorizo ($26) and it is amazing! A perfect balance of fresh and healthy ingredients and tantalising flavours.
The rest of the menu looks just as exotic (Pulled Spiced Beef, Middle Eastern Baked Eggs and Manjimup Wild Truffle & Mushroom on Brioche), but they also offer eggs on toast, muesli and pancakes for the not so adventures taste buds.
For dessert we share the Homemade Banana Bread with Passion fruit Butter ($10), a definite must try when you go to B&T.
The coffees are smooth, strong and hot. The juices and smoothies are all homemade and come in a funky plastic cup with thick straw.
Next one on the brunch spot list is May Street Larder, the new café from the creators of Bib & Tucker located in East Fremantle.
